I offer nanny-like infant child care to help transition you and your baby from being home immediately following the birth to returning to the workforce.

You get peace of mind and plenty of check-ins while your baby gets the nurturing attention, engagement, and care s/he needs by a well-trained, experienced Newborn Care Specialist. Care takes place in my home- a quiet, comfortable home with minimal, controlled exposure to the outside world just as a nursery should be.
Nursery Care is ideal for those returning to work who just aren't ready to put their baby in a large scale daycare center or simply don't want to. Nursery Care takes place in my home, like a typical drop-off daycare, but it isn't anything like a typical traditional daycare!

Here, the caregiver/teacher turnover rate is always consistent (it's just me, folks!), and exposure to germs are minimal as there aren't dozens of people (kids/parents/teachers/aids) tracking through my home daily. There are no weird daycare smells,

Nursery Care is ideal for newborns to 5 years old. (Ask about school age/ after-school care for siblings.)

About the Child Care Provider

I'm an experienced mama (21, 15, 10 yr olds as of 2024), youth cheer coach, certified doula and newborn care specialist of 20 years, and nanny/ childcare provider. I have degrees in health and behavior sciences, ECE units fit for an educator, am CPR/FA/BLS certified, have homeschooled for 12+ years, and have impeccable references. I have clear background and driving records as well as reliable transportation (with clean, un-expired car seats). I have extensive experience with newborns/infants/toddlers as well as various special needs. I am also trilingual (fluency varies; Spanish and ASL/ Sign Language). My parenting & caregiving style could best be described as attentive, nurturing, and patient. Attachment Parenting and Love & Logic ideologies resonate well with me.

Throughout the day I offer age-appropriate meal, nap, and play times that is most in alignment with Montessori theories. I am big into child-led learning through play while gently offering opportunities to explore further. Toys and activities are on constant rotation. We go outside almost daily (unless the weather is extreme). Our days are full of language and articulation at a level that's appropriate for your baby. Development is encouraged through reading, music, play, sensory exploration, movement, and the occasional field trip! We might enjoy story time at the library or local cafe, go for a walk in the neighborhood, explore a park, check out a splash pad, or meet new friends at a local farm.

The Process

Before reaching out, take a moment to consider your ideal schedule. What days of the week do you need childcare? What time will you drop off? What time will you pick up? I will need this information, as well as how many children you have that need childcare, as well as their ages.

You might also want to consider what type of care you want for your baby and then review your household budget to determine what you can afford to pay for childcare. Typically, nannies/ au pairs offer the highest quality of care at the highest cost. In-home daycares and daycare centers are much less expensive than a nanny, however, the child to caregiver ratio is higher. Within my home, nursery care is strictly limited to the number of children allowed in my care at a time. It isn't just state regulation, it's imperative to maintaining the highest quality of care. With me, you get nanny-like childcare at daycare-like cost.

Once you're ready to get started, this is what you can expect the process to look like:

  1. Reach out. I love a good inquiry form entry! (You can email if you prefer but I'll still need all the same info I ask on my form.)
  2. Schedule a quick call. This is the time to ask any questions, confirm current availability, and get a feel for whether we'd work well together based on basic criteria. After our call, I'll follow up with pertinent information (my background/driver information, references, contract, calendar, etc.). I'll hold your ideal start date for a week (or disclose your position in the queue/waitlist).
  3. Schedule an in-person meet n' greet. Bring your partner and the baby, "tour" my home nursery, and ask any other questions that may have come up since we last spoke.
  4. Finish up. You'll fill out and submit the contract if you haven't already, and then make a payment to secure your baby's spot. I'll confirm your start date and schedule, and make sure you know what to bring for the first day/week of care.
